Well...

...you can't entirely blame Terry--after all, no one's been able to keep dearest Toby Robin away from a mystery yet! I'd just be sure to take Jodi along to save their fannies again...

Story on hold ...

The Mystery of Ile de Lapin Pelucheuse is on hold for a bit while I work out some plot problems with Toby Robin. Nothing real major; we're just figuring out the best way to get from Point A to Point B. (I know how to get to Points C, D, E, and so on).

In the meantime, since there's more than one story that can take place in an art gallery, I've posted something new in the 100 Word Challenge.

Terry really can't keep anything from Toby's insatiable curiosity, can't she?

Please take whatever time you need to figure along this intriguing tale of yours.

I'm caught up now, good Usikujumba - what fascinating tales! I've come to adore Toby and Terry, and I'm loving "The Mystery of Ile de Lapin Pelucheuse" so far. I'm also a sucker for french titles and names (though if you know me by now, I'm a sucker for a lot of things). And that Toby...poor Terry can't hide anything from her, can she?

Hope your creative juices work up a good solution to your plot problem - I'll be waiting patiently in the corner, under some blankets.

New story posted

Still no progress on "Ile de Lapin Pelucheuse" ... but, to make up for that, I've posted another story. It's in somewhat a lighter vein than some of the things I've written so far. Hope you all enjoy!

Aww, come on, Steve!

Who needs Raid when you have a bureaucrat handy? Laughing A fine bit of girl-sleuth humor, Usi! Maybe Toby Robin or Terry or Jodie will join the Men in Black when they grow up! Just know all the rules, regulations, and paperwork requirements!...

Speak for yourself, Deanna ...

From "Psycho":

(Tom Cassidy takes a huge wad of cash -- $40,000, to be precise -- out of his pocket)

Caroline: I declare!

Tom: I don't. That's how I get to keep it!

Toby should've worn bigger shoes, mayhaps?

Hahaha, yeah...good movie.

Usikujumba, a fantastic piece! I love its lighthearted and whimsical tone, and your humor was very spot-on! I can only imagine the thoughts coursing through poor Toby's head as she dangled before this odd dialogue. Oh, the things we get ourselves into...

Excellent work!

Egad!! Poor Terry Crying or Very sad

A wonderful story so far, Usikujumba - shadowing the truck on the way to the dock was suspenseful, I was expecting Gravel and Stick to pull over and capture our two sneaks, but luckily that didn't happen.

Instead, poor Terry might be drowned...that was completely unexpected. I hope either she or Toby wakes up soon!

Usi!...

...You can't liquidate Terry! She's...she's...too nice by half! I won't stand for it, I tell you! At least, I'm sure hoping you have a few tricks up your sleeve to rescue her!...

First Terry, and now Toby?! These aren't villains, they're monsters!! I can only hope that vision Toby saw at the end there wasn't a vision at all... *crosses fingers*

Also seems like our sleuths have stumbled onto a smuggling ring. If only they can survive to see it through Sad

Now look!...

...I'm telling you, there better be a rescue or something, because if you really do drown Terry and Toby Robin I'm going to be one mad cat! Evil or Very Mad

But you are going to save them, aren't you? Aren't you?... Crying or Very sad Shocked

Anxiously awaiting to see if Terry helps her in time...

Huzzah! Toby and Terry are alive and well! And...at the bottom of the...ocean...? Shocked Awesome!

I'm curious to see what this council wants with our intrepid heroines. And I wonder if the Isle has anything to do with the fish-people? By the way, I hate minnows too. Embarassed

Awesome, Usi - can't wait for chapter six!

This...

...is just about the most inventive escape I've read here! Makes me look at the ocean in a whole different light, though... Very Happy
