My "issues" have turned rather serious now as my grandmother is not doing well at all. The doctor thinks she may have only weeks or months left. And I've been sick over the past two weeks, and I haven't been able to see her in the hospital due to her weakened condition, so these past couple of weeks haven't been very good at all. Crying or Very sad

Anyway, I wanted to at least post something during all this to give you guys an answer as to what happens next in the story.

Orpheus... Thanks for the well wishes. Very Happy

Mr. M... Dear friend, thanks so much for the condolences. Very Happy

Laura... Thanks for the compliment on my new "title".

Suzy... Glad to hear back from you, and I'm happy you're enjoying Stacey's solo story so far.

I'll try to get back to reading everything that I've missed in small doses, and to get this story still on track. My illness is getting better, I just wished my grandmother was.

Anyway, the big reveal is posted as Madeline explains what she's up to, to her captive audience. And Mike gets dragged into the action...

Enjoy! Very Happy

Classic scene: the villain reveals all to their captive protagonists..who can't do anything but watch helplessly as they set their diabolical plot in motion. Although, the fact they're not in some ridiculous death-trap means that Madeline may have something else in store for our poor snoops..

Yes indeed, cresent...

...you'd think Madame DiPietro would remember that particular part of The Villains' Creed--the one where you never tell your victims the whole plan in advance...

But Mike is on his way, and I don;t think Madame wants to have him take after her! I'd say something about hitting a lady, but we already know she's no lady!...and you have to admit that Ashley really knows how to cook up a revenge plot! If you want revenge, get it big time!

And Ashley, dear heart, you know that I and a couple Conjuring Kittens are thinking about you...

Ashley, I hope you get well soon. And I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma, too Crying or Very sad Like Laura said, don't worry about us. Take as much time as you need, okay?

I'm loving your latest chapters, Howard and Mike make such an amazing team - I'm excited to see them in action! And what a shocking revelation, DiPietro...I knew you were slimy, but that...just, wow. And Stacey's a resourceful one, using her engagement ring as a marker. Cle-ver!

Killer work!

You guys and gals are so special to me... thank you all for the sympathy and prayers during this very difficult time for me, and my mother (she sends her gratitude out to you all as well).

I am now all better from my cold (finally), and my grandmother is being moved to a convalsent home where she could get better care during her final time. I've come to except that it's her time coming soon, and I'm back to getting my own life in some form of order. I'll just be enjoying her company in the meantime, and make the most of it.

Now back to the story at hand... It's nice to see that you all despise Madeline in her plot to commit mass murder.

I now bring you the rescue scene as Mike and Howard attempt to help Stacey and Vivian (and learn from themselves what's about to happen at the show).

Enjoy! Very Happy

Your latest did not disappoint, Ashley - man, what a team Mike and Howard make!

Excellent work fleshing out your goons, I kinda felt bad for Davis and Rosenthal - goons are people too, and you did a great job making them human instead of slimebucket jerks. But still, they got what was coming to them! Twisted Evil And yeah...seriously, Mike and Howard stole the show this week! Their personalities complemented each other brilliantly, and I hope to see one last hurrah from them! Very Happy

Awesome work, Ashley! And I'm glad to hear that things are slowly shaping up a little. I can only hope that your grandma is as comfortable as she can be.

Yeah Mike and Howard

To the rescue! Now if they can all avert that pending disaster!

Well done Ashley!

Ah...

...old skills do come back when needed! But Mike should have known to take the key to his stolen bike with him! Very Happy

And I agree with Sir O; Mike and Howard make a great rescue team! Especially if there are any tacky vases in Howard's reach!... Very Happy

Heys guys... I'm still here and doing better than before (physically and emotionally). My grandmother is now in a nursing home (and hating every minute of it), but she is still glad to see us, which I've been doing everyday since. She sends her thanks to all of you who wished her well.

Orpheus... I knew you would like Mike and Howard teaming up, kind of like a gruff version of Laurel and Hardy, or something along those lines. Confused And goons too have lives of their own (maybe meager ones at that).

Deanna... Stacey and company will sure try their best to stop the villains.

Mr. M... Actually, Mike did take the key of the bike. In New York, they'll take anything that's not bolted down or chained up (I guess that wasn't very apparent in the chapter, oh well...). Glad that you liked Howard's methond of dispatching an assailant. Wink

Chapters 16 & 17 are now up as Stacey looks to save the day... in Katie style!

Enjoy! Very Happy

Stacey vs. Madeline

I like the way Stacey managed to get on stage... This Bonaduce character, not related to Danny, is he? Wink

It's wonderful to hear that you've been keeping your grandmother company, Ashley - you're a great granddaughter Smile And it's a relief to hear that you're doing better too. Keep taking care of yourself, okay?

As for your latest update, I'm assuming this might be where the title gets its name from: what an amazing way for Stacey to find the control room! I'm not a girl, but I can only imagine the sheer joy that she must have felt on the runway Smile Plus, Mike and Howard teaming up again? Always awesome Very Happy And Vivian, off to save the day...you haven't skimped on the heroics at all this week, and I'm on the edge of my seat as to how this all wraps up!

Killer work as always, it was thrilling to see DiPietro's reactions as her plan falls apart Twisted Evil

(I wonder what Katie's reaction would be when Stacey tells her about all this...?)

If you ask me ...

Ms. DiPietro is definitely a hero for our times. Not only is she trying to rid the world of a couple of silly little girls, but some overblown "fashionistas" at the same time. That deserves a Presidential citation at the very least.

P.S. Anyone else not surprised that so far the so-called "heroes" have committed grand theft auto, assault and battery, and destruction of private property?

Deanna... I knew you would like the runway scene (a little fantasy of mine actually). And no, Mr. Bonaduce is not related to other Bonaduce guy, I just liked the name.

Orphues... Thanks for the well wishes, they do help. If it's killer heroics you want, then I'm just getting started with that. Wink

Mulder... Glad you're back! Very Happy Thank you for condolences. Smile I do hope you're enjoying what's been happening around here (I do plan on getting to your latest work soon).

Lars... I was wondering when you would show yourself again. Wink I figured you'd be into Ms. DiPietro and all her villainy.

Valerie... The big showdown is now well underway... and thank you, I am doing much better now. Very Happy

Chapters 18 & 19 are now posted as the climax is well underway now.

Enjoy! Very Happy

Ah Daria, How are you? My thoughts are with you and your family. Just keep your chin up and if you feel the need to escape the rigours of real life i can't think of a better place to come than here.

I've finally caught up with your postings, and boy is there a lot going on. Katie's grown up so much and looks to be well on course for that career in the FBI Plus of course you now have Lila as well (Come on, does anyone really think she's given up snooping - for the sake of a mere boy? Very Happy . )

But Stacey's solo adventure Wow. I can't believe how much you packed in - so much excitement and adventure, Laura would be so jealous if she could read this - well of the internship and the engagement certainly, the getting kidnapped and tied up - probably not so much Very Happy

Really building up to an epic climax now, can't wait to see how you wrap things up

Wow, all the major players have kicked some form of tuchus up to this point! Excellent fight between Mike and Dupree, I had a feeling they would go at it! But man, Dupree was nasty...that guy fights dirty, and I seriously feel bad for poor Mike (I guarantee Stacey will think he still looks sexy though, just you watch). I'm glad that chump was taken down hard.

Awesome twist with Vivian, too - here I thought she was helpless and too afraid of fighting, but DAMN was I wrong! And that little jab at the end was a nice touch, though I did cringe...

Can't wait to see Stacey take down DiPietro. It's been a long time coming, and she deserves some compensation for all the crap she's been through Smile

I certainly hope ...

... that Mike, Vivian, and Lynda have good attorneys, since they're certainly going to need them for the criminal charges and civil lawsuits that are certain to be filed, after the way they assaulted Ms. DiPietro's associates (who were only engaged in carrying out their lawful duties). Especially the cowardly sneak attacks by Vivian and Lynda ... what shameful conduct on the part of these so-called "heroes".

Lars...

...you just better hope that Vivian and Lynda don't pay you a visit! Smile

Add acting to Vivian's talents! Maybe she could join up with Katie and Stacey for something more than fashion design...

Moxx... So glad to hear from you here, and I'm also glad you're enjoying Lila's advenures. Yeah, I thought you might like Stacey's run-in with fashion after our joint story you just finished posting.

Orpheus... Since you seem to be Vivian's number one fan, I knew you would appreciate her kicking some villain butt! Twisted Evil And if you liked how our heroes took care of their respective foes, then you're sure to like how Stacey handles hers. Wink

Lars... You wouldn't happen to know a shyster that would actually defend those scumbags. Laughing

Mr. M... Thanks for coming to my rescue, but I can handle good 'ol Lars myself (as long as I don't encounter him in some dark alley alone...). I did like Vivian a lot as I delved more in her character. And who knows what the future may bring to Miss Reynolds (I'm sure Orpheua wouldn't mind that... Wink ).

The exciting conclusion to Dressed to Thrill is now posted for your reading pleasure.

I do have another story already waiting in the wings, and it looks like I'll be able to post it very soon as I'm currently waiting for another author on this forum to wrap up their story first.

Enjoy! Very Happy

Lawyers for Mike, Vivian, Lynda, and Stacey (you can add criminal trespass to the charges)? No, those scumbags can defend themselves. Lawyers for the heroic Ms. DiPietro (who, even though being pursued by a psycho, still took time to pay her subway fare) and her crew? Of course! (Passing out cards from the firm of Dewey, Suem, and Howe)

Excellent conclusion there Daria. Stacey showed some real cunning , especially the way she played DePietro at her own game.I never knew she had it in her.

That was a verey interesting sidebar, a bit like one of those episodes of Murder She Wrote where Angela Lansbury get's a holiday and Jessica hardly appears

Allow me to add my voice to those asking to see more of Vivian, and also Howard. He & Mike made an interesting team, very metrosexual.
Laughing

Looking forward to your follow up to the Katie and Charlie story, can't wait to see what surprises you have in store for our English Girls in New York

OH GAWD! The image of DiPietro beating feet down 5th Avenue! Laughing But, she DID manage to stay ahead of Stacey, wearing heels at that! I bet Ms. D was quite the track star in school. Wink

That was a nice trick Stace pulled at the end and the look on DiPietro's face was to die for. And I enjoyed everyone's athleticism: Stacey hurtling over the turnstiles, DiPietro's running, Vivian's kickass (literally!) badassness, and Mike's Rocky Balboa-ness. And let's not forget Howard's 60 second primping skills. Believe me, that's the most impressive of all!

Totally agree with the Moxx about Howard and Mike making a great team. TV series anyone? Style Network, hello?!

A terrific ending to another fabulicious tale, Ashley! Very Happy

Now it's Jake's turn...

...to get a rock for Katie. We'll clear a place up in Henschel's Woods for them if he wants... Very Happy

And Stacey had some of the quickest wits I've seen anywhere! Not the average villainess take-down, I do assure you!

And I promise to get moving on my tale, dear heart--I'm starting the last chapter tonight...
