Chapter Five... update

Valerie, Suzy, Mr. O, Mr. M, David, betandiver, etc...

Thanks for your kind words as always.
We've seen both National Treasure movies and its two of our favorites.
This chapter five slowly moves the plot along... which their are two. Hidden treasure and the mystery of Tracey's sister. This chapter deals with the hidden treasure. But as you will soon see both are related...

Enjoy!

Ooh, I love Sarah so far! A new snoop who's bound to get into trouble is always fun! Hehe. Sorry. Embarassed

I also liked National Treasure, so I'm loving the direction this tale is going. Interesting reveal, too - Deanna's great-great-uncle having signed that charter. Wonder if that's relevant? And just who ARE those two goons spying on our beloved snoops? That last line makes me worry.

Also, great use of science to figure out the next clue - part of the reason I'm enjoying Sarah so much Smile

Can't wait for the next chapter, Deanna!

Extra rope? Could be a long night for the girls!

Great storyline, I love 'follow the clue to another clue' episodes.

Maybe we are all in mistake maybe Tracy sister wasn't killed and she is with this man. I suspect that in next chapter there will burglary attempt on laboratory and sarah will be chloroformed

Well, maybe you could say...

...that's you've torn a page out of National Treasure, but National Treasure never had a peril scene like I suspect is coming! One up on the movies!...

Really digging your story so far, Deanna. It makes me want to watch "National Treasure" again (and its sequel).

This is one story I would really like to see Erikson adapt (hint, hint). Very Happy

I'm just starting your stories (there's a lot to read on this site) with the Disappearing Cheerleaders. Good story. I laughed at the Frank Gorshen/K.G. Byrd Umbrella company bits. I used to watch Batman when they showed it on F/X channel like 10 years ago.

Did you play basketball in high school, or is that only fictional Deanna?

Agreed with Mistoffelees, Sarah seemed a little bit too eager to be captured Smile Still, I knew something was fishy with the whole limo bit, and it seems my piddling instincts were not wrong! What a jerk too, knocking out Deanna was just plain mean.

Nice use of subtle SOS'ing on Deanna's part, though whether Erin ends up a prisoner as well...mm, I'd say the odds are 50/50. Very excited to see what happens next, Deanna!

I played in high school and an intramural college league.

Held hostage in a limo... captivity in style. Laughing

I agree that Sarah seems a little too eager to get kidnapped. Perhaps after hanging around Deanna & Tracey for a few of their cases she'll think very differently about being bound & gagged and fearing for your life.

BTW, love the cute outfits our damsels are wearing (Doc Martens are not really my style, but they are cute looking), and you can't go wrong with a lovely red dress either.

I bet you were one heck of a basketball player, Deanna. Very Happy

Chapter seven

Some questions answered, and an adventure is about to happen...

No, Sarah is a good girl. Thanks again for all your kind words!

You did answer some questions, but left more mystery to ponder... good work, Deanna! Very Happy

Red bandannas are my second favorite. And by the way your story is really getting exciting!

I like the driver's daughter, Karen - a totally innocent character in the midst of bad guys is such a tough thing to read, and I'm wondering if she'll eventually find out the truth about Tracey's sister?

Killer twist too, Deanna - forcing our girl detectives to do some detective-ing for the bad guys! I love it Very Happy And clever little scene at the end, I'm hoping Tracey is the one who locks these jerks up - keeping her sister tied up for days...gah!

Awesome job!

Leave it to Deanna...

...to get forced into working for the bad guys! But I rather suspect the villains will pay in the end, rather than get paid...good to be back to such entertainment as this, milady!
