Goodness. When one crisis is averted, another rears its ugly head. Glad to see the exploding van wasn't enough to take out Khim and company - she's a tough one, and for a second there you had me going when she ordered her charges to leave her.

But now the Ghillie and the Laird seem to have an edge over our titular snoops! What a nasty trick that jerk played on Katie, that was just plain mean. And Charlie...for her to run into that sight...

Re next part of story--I see Charles gagged less strigently as Kaite while Katie is bound with less slack (ropes vs leather blet) than Charlie. But of course you're writing the story.

Interesting theory Mandy, but you are assuming that the girls will be given the opportunity to try and escape...As sporting as the Laird undoubtedly is there may be more to his plan than simple abduction.

While we wait to find out just what nasty surprise lies in store for our two snoops let us not forget Stacey and Laura, desperately racing back to the castle in order to get a piece of the action for themselves.

And then there's Pandora, last seen being driven off in the boot of a car.

Wow, what a thrilling duo of chapters (I missed an update? Son of a...!)! That was one hell of an escape on our sleuths' part - color me VASTLY impressed! I had a feeling Charlie was going to do what she did, but you managed to describe it perfectly. Excellent work, I could feel their pain

Great to see Hudson and Khim kindle something other than a professional relationship, too. They make a sweet couple, though I wonder what their kid would be like. Total annihilation on the playground, methinks! And I'm guessing that Laura and Stacy will be stumbling upon a certain starlet pretty soon.

So, yeah. Awesome deathtrap with an even better background. Chilling, yet effective. Fantastic work, Moxx

Well, I'm glad that chapter went down well. I admit i was a little worried that my descriptions wouldn't be vivid enough, it's certainly one of the toughest scenes I've ever written

Our little adventure is rapidly approaching it's climax now, though the girls aren't out of the woods yet. They may have escaped the Laird's death trap but Charlie and Katie are still trapped and as for Stacey & Laura...Well Orpheus That's an interesting theory of yours, but there's another player in our little game you may have overlooked, and that player is about to make a dramatic reappearance...

I just read ch's 18 and 19... Amazing! Old castles and dungeons are terrific for plots with danger...

And I love the melodrama between Stacey and Laura... do they open the lid?

A classic!

In the USA what you call jumper leads we call jumper cables. And since there are different gauges of wire, so depending on the thickness, the thin cable could be used for binding material.

I still can't get enough of reading this story, Moxx (even though I've read several times prior to posting).

For those of you who wished for Katie to get some payback on Pandora, it's not in her character to do so (maybe Stacey would). Katie understood Pandora's fear and confusion when she tied her up, so a sincere apology was all she was after.

Now the really good part (there has been so many thus far) is finally here as the thrilling climax is about to begin. I can't wait to re-read this one again, Moxx!

Sincerily a very well buil storry with drama and intersting situations - Charlotte handucfed by Katie, excellent... Not always realistic... I don't believe than a few girls can overpower 1 or 2 strong men... but it does not matter... It's a world as Harry Potter has his world. It´s logical in the logic of a damsel detective who has to be always in trouble. Very good... and a very ionteresting new character, Khim.... I hope she will be present in your future stories,

Man, I'm going to miss this story when it's over...

Once again, Hudson and Khim have some excellent moments together. Office work, hehe! But yeah, poor Khim...knocked out again. And that tapework CAN'T be good for her foot! *wince*

This chapter was also excellent in that we get to see the girls reuniting, too! And Charlie/Laura...I really can't gush enough how much I love their chemistry. A brilliant plan, by the way - though I have a feeling that the one little flaw Katie mentioned will indeed muck things up for the worse.

Still, with Hudson, Katie and Charlie on the trail, it's practically over. Excellent work as always, Moxx

Hughes - I'm glad you liked Khim, she was only supposed to be a peripheral charector but her part in proceedings grew as the story went on, she was fun to write for, a hint of what Charlie or Katie might be like in 15 years time. I've no immediate plans to use her again but i do agree it would be nice to see her again

BRAVO!! *claps* A killer work, Moxx - I loved every bit of it! This Charlie/Katie story was a real treat to read, almost like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream - two great tastes that taste great together And since Ashley also played a role in the makings of this story, congratulations are in order for you as well! Truly fine work, both of you!

It was great to see the Ghillie and Laird finally get theirs. Your fight was incredibly well done, and very exciting - I was able to understand your choreography down to the letter, and it was just plain fun to read! And yeah, I did mutter "Oh, Laura, you idiot...!" once or twice It was also great to see Pandora grow as a character. From a caricature snob to a more humble and down-to-earth girl, you portrayed her growth well. It never felt artificial or "forced." I liked her quite a bit at the end. And "Panda" is such a cute nickname

Your story was delightful in that it had a truly happy ending - the bad guys hauled off to the slammer, the good guys rejoicing over breakfast - but man, it just had to end, huh? And so, two of my favorite characters say goodbye And Charlie had better keep her word about coming to New York sometime. I'd totally show her around!

I'm more than eager for your next work, so enjoy your time off and get plenty of brain food, Moxx! And Moxx/Ashley, I hope you two are able to collaborate again sometime - really, this was just excellent.

I totally agree with my peers that you have to come back with another Charlie adventure, Moxx!

And for all you readers out there... the hinting of Charlie & Katie's next tale set in New York is something I plan on writing this time (with Moxx's help, of course). Hopefully I can get this off the ground by sometime next year (I will keep everyone posted).
